Care Guide
Excellent pest and disease resistance
Generally Cistus is trouble free when it comes to pests and diseases.
Water lightly
Water regularly when newly planted, especially during dry periods. Once the roots have established, it will need very little watering except in prolonged hot and dry periods.
Full sun
Cistus needs a sheltered position in full sun for the best flower production.
Any fertile, well-drained soil
Prefers well-drained soil that is also fertile. Mix in plenty of organic matter such as quality garden compost along with perlite if your soil is particularly clay-heavy or waterlogged. Avoid very alkaline soils which will give the plant a nutrient deficiency.
Feed lightly
Apply a general purpose liquid feed after flowering but avoid nitrogen rich fertilisers. ?v=1613300718
