Houttuynia Cordata
Houttuynia Cordata are colourful herbaceous perennials native to Southeast Asia. Also known as ‘Chameleon’, Houttynia can be grown as marginal pond plants and are tolerant to dry and moist soil conditions. From springtime onwards these plants produce white flowers, and the distinctive pink and cream-coloured leaves are orange scented and edible. Houttuynia Cordata ‘Boo Boo’ variety has darker leaves which turn vibrant orange and red in autumn, and the Orange Peel Plant’s layered flower petals make a wonderful flowering pond plant.
