Nymphoides
Nymphoides Peltata, or Yellow Floating Heart, are rooted perennial aquatic plants. Nymphoide’s underwater stems can extend up to two metres long, each stolon producing new shoots and floating leaves with purple tinted undersides. In summertime their yellow fringed flowers grow on singular stems rising several inches out of the water. Nyphoides prefer full sun and shallow water, and their many lily shaped leaves produce a dense mat-like covering on the pond surface.
