Care Guide

Good Pest and Disease Resistance

Is affected by the ordinary Rose problems such as Black Spot and Aphids but the strong vigour of the plant means problems are rearely lethal.MORE

Water Regularly

Water the plant regularly during the summer, especially during hot and dry periods and especially if you are container-growing the plant. During the winter the plant will need significantly less watering and ymay only require a watering once every week to two weeks.

Full Sun to Partial Shade

You will want to plant somewhere the plant. will receive at least 4-6 hours of sunlight everyday during summer and spring. This variety can handled some partial shade where it receives its light as dappled shade.

Fertile, Well-Drained Soil

You will want to mix in plenty of organic matter such as quality garden compost. If your soil is particularly clay-heavy then you can also add in some gravel or perlite to help improve drainage.

Feed Regularly

Roses need to be fed twice–once in April as the leaves are beginning to uncurl and once again in June. We recommend using a high potash fertiliser such as specific Rose food or even tomato food. In March you will also want to apply a mulhc of well-rotted manure for extra slow-release nutrients. Do not feed roses in late Summer to Autumn otherwise this will encourage new growth going into winter which will then be killed off by frosts.
