Care Guide

Excellent Pest and Disease Resistance

Generally, this variety has no issues with pests or diseases. APhids can be attracted to Salvia, in which case pick them off and then spray the infested area down with soapy water.MORE

Full Sun

Plant somewhere the plant will receive around 6-8 hours of direct sunlight every day.

Any Average, Well-Drained Soil

Salvias do well in any average, well-drained soil. If your soil is particularly clay-heavy and/or often becomes waterlogged then you can improve the drainage by adding in plenty of organic matter such as garden compost as well as some perlite or gravel.

Prune Regularly

Deadhead the plant regularly to promote continuous blooms. In Autumn, after the flowering has finished, cut the plant back to just above the base.
