Trees & Fruit Plants
110 YEARS' EXPERTISE FREE WITH EVERY TREE
Our fruit plants, fruit trees and ornamental trees start life on a farm in the South Downs National Park. Since 1908, this family business has grown trees and fruit plants in their most natural conditions just as they were 110 years ago. That means they’re grown outdoors at their own pace and from the best quality rootstocks, to give you a tree that will establish quickly and live a long and happy life in your garden. With over 100 varieties lovingly nurtured every year, is there anything about trees that these guys don’t know?
Climbing Plants
GROWN BY SPECIALISTS AT THE HEIGHT OF THEIR GAME
Our climbing plant nursery in Worcestershire grows the biggest range of climbers in the UK, with the growers regarded as experts in clematis, jasmine, honeysuckle, passion flowers and more. With their advice, we choose the most vigorous and successful varieties every year and never seem to be able to visit them without adding another few exciting new plants to our range! Maybe it’s the organic fertilisers, the biological pest control or just the magic touch, but every climber we’ve ever taken home from this nursery has grown like a sped up film reel…
Perennial Plants
BORN IN HEREFORDSHIRE, BLOOMING IN YOUR GARDEN
Our perennial flowering plants are grown at a specialist nursery nestled in the Herefordshire Hills. The growers have been here for over forty years, and their passion for plants is obvious - they can talk about them all day! They’re always trying out exciting new plant varieties, with only the best and healthiest making the range (we get first pick, obviously!). With an eye on the future, they’re also increasing wildlife habitats at their nursery site, using biological pest control and working towards eliminating the use of peat.
Vegetable Plants
SLOW GROWN VEG FROM LANCASHIRE
On a family run farm in rural Lancashire, our vegetable and herb growers nurture their plants year-round to make sure they’re ready for you to plant out at exactly the right time. The range they grow for us is a mix of trusted favourites, award winning heirlooms and exciting new varieties. With over sixty years of experience, our veg growers are the experts in their field(s) and an industry leader in sustainable practices, working towards 100% peat free plants, watering with rainwater collected from their glasshouse roofs and using as much recyclable or compostable packaging as possible.
Pond Plants
A DEEP DIVE INTO SUSTAINABLE GARDENING
Our pond plant growers are world leaders in developing and growing lilies, marginals, oxygenators and more, with an emphasis on sustainable methods and plants that benefit wildlife (the nursery even has resident ducks!). Since 1965 they’ve been at the forefront of pond plant innovation, inventing the aquatic basket, which they’ve been making from recycled plastic for over forty years. With the best range of pond plants in the UK and eight RHS gold medals in the trophy cabinet, it’s safe to say our growers are outstanding in their er, pond.
