Care Guide

Good Pest and Disease Resistance
Antirrhinums are generally resistant to many pests and diseases but can suffer issues with Leaf Spot, Powdery Mildew, Anthracnose, Aphids and Whitefly. To prevent these problems you should space the plants adequately to prevent overcrowding and tight, humid conditions. Water at the base into the soil not on the leaves, to prevent the soil splashing onto the leaves. Check the leaves regularly for any possible infestation of disease.

Water Regularly
Water the plants to keep the soil consistently moist. During hot, dry, spells this means watering the plants at least once a day. If the plants are to be used in hanging baskets you may need to water twice a day if the plants begin to look distressed during hot periods.

Full Sun
Antirrhinums need a spot where they will receive at least 6-8 hours of direct sunlight every day.

Fertile, Well-Drained
The best soil to use is a quality potting mix or garden compost which is filled with rich organic matter and drains water away easily.

Feed Regularly
Feed weekly with a high potash fertiliser to boost flower growth. https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0513/3428/3424/files/pruning_3x_4d3eaf73-f629-45e0-87a5-6f14f5f005fc.png
