The Highlights

    • Masses of half-double two-toned flowers
    • Upright for better pot or flower bed displays
    • Long blooms all summer from May-October
    • Unique variety with very well-formed inner flower
    • Healthy and vigorous plant with prolific blooms
    • RHS Certified 'Plant for Pollinators' –a real bee's favourite! This is an award gifted by the Royal Horticultural Society for plants that are very good at attracting and are beneficial for pollination insects in the UK.MORE
    • Cutting-Raised: more healthy and vigorous plants When a plant is 'Cutting-Raised' that means the plant was grown from the cutting of another plant of that same variety. That means it is an exact clone of that plant. Of course, we pick only the strongest and healthiest plants to take cuttings from and so when a plant is Cutting-Raised they tend to be healthier and more vigorous which means they'll flower more heavily for a longer period of time than a plant that was raised from seed.MORE
    • For best results, plant 5 in a 12inch basket/ pot or space 8 inches apart in the a bed/ border
    • Our jumbo plugs will be delivered in mid April. By this time, they will be a good size, the risk of frost will be gone and the ground will be warm and they will shoot off!

Care Guide

Good Pest and Disease Resistance

Fuchsias can have issues with Vine Weevils and Rust. to combat Vine Weevil, inspect the leaves regularly. If there are notches bitten off the ends of the leaves then this is a strong sign of adult Vine Weevils. At night you can go out and inspect the plant with a torch and, if you see any, pick them off and put them into a jar of water. You can also use specific nematodes which will target Vine Weevils and Cause them to die. Rust presents itself as discolouring on the leaves and especially orange, fuzzy like patches. There is no specific fungicides for Rust so, if spotted, you should prune away the leaves with clean prunes (washing the prunes after as well) and burn any leaves. MORE

Water Regularly

Water the plants to keep the soil consistently moist. During hot, dry, spells this means watering the plants at least once a day. If the plants are to be used in hanging baskets you may need to water twice a day if the plants begin to look distressed during hot periods.MORE

Full Sun

Fuchsias should be planted somewhere they receive around 6-8 hours of direct sunlight every day.MORE

Fertile, Well-Draining Soil

The best soil to use is a quality potting mix or garden compost which is filled with rich organic matter and drains water away easily.MORE

Feed Regularly

Feed every week during the growing period with a high-potash feed such as liquid-tomato feed.MORE

Prune Regularly

For best results in terms of flowers, you should regularly check and deadhead (remove old, dead flowers) the plant.MORE

Height on arrival:

10-15cm

Eventual height:

30-45cm

Eventual spread:

30-45cm

Time to first crop:

Flower colour:

Fuchsia Pink, Daisy White
This flower has outer petals of a fuchsia pink with inner petals of daisy white but which also have a slight hint of pink.

Habit:

Upright
The tall stems of upright annuals are perfect for standing out in a pot or container or taking pride of place in a border. Several can be planted close together.

Hardiness:

Somewhat Hardy
Plant out after the last frost and they should do well throughout the growing season and into Autumn. This Fuchsia is not a hardy variety but can tolerate cold temperatures to freezing and perhaps even beyond in a sheltered location.

Rootstock:

Spacing:

5 per 12inch basket/ pot or space 8 inches apart in the a bed/ border
A good rule of thumb when planting a hanging basket is to use one plant per inch of basket diameter - so 12 plants per 12 inch (30cm) basket. Strong-growing plants such as Fuchsias and Geraniums (Pelargoniums) require more space, so reduce to 5 plants per 30cm 12 inch (30cm) basket. When planting out in the ground, you can space the plants even further, as there is not such a need for a desnse display. Increase to 6 inches for most annuals and 8 inches for the strong growing plants
