Care Guide

Excellent Pest and Disease Resistance
Echinaceas generally have to problems with pests or diseases. To prevent Powdery Mildew you should try to prevent crowded and humid conditions. Properly space plants apart and get rid of any weeds. Water at the soil and try to prevent soil splashing from the soil onto the leaves.

Water Lightly in Summer
Although fairly drought resistant once established, you will want to water the plant often during its first summer and future prolonged dry periods. Around once a week should be fine in summer. If it is very hot and dry, you may want to water several times a week.

Full Sun to Partial Shade
Plant somewhere where the plant will receive around 6 hours of direct sunlight every day.

Fertile Well-Drained Soil
You will want to mix in plenty of organic matter such as garden compost into the soil before planting and more every spring. If your soil is particularly clay-heavy and easily becomes waterlogged, add some perlite into the soil to improve drainage.

Not Required
Don't worry, this isn't a hungry plant so your food bills won't be going up! https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0513/3428/3424/files/pruning_3x_4d3eaf73-f629-45e0-87a5-6f14f5f005fc.png
