Care Guide

Good pest and disease resistance
Wallflowers have generally good pest and disease resistance but can have issues with slugs and snails when young. Keep the area around the plant debris free and as dry as possible

Water regularly in the lead up to the flowering season

Full sun
Wallflowers prefer a sunny

Any well-drained soil
Prefers sandy or loam soil and does best in slightly alkaline soils. This is a tough plant which can thrive in even poor soils.

Feed when planting
Sprinkle a slow release general purpose granular feed into the hole when planting

Prune regularly
Deadhead regularly to prolong flowering. Prune mature plants back by half after flowering to prevent them becoming leggy.
