Care Guide

Good pest and disease resistance
Lupins can be affected by slugs

Water lightly
Water regularly in summer

Full sun to partial shade
Lupins prefer a sheltered spot with morning sun and some afternoon shade.

Most well-drained soils
Plant in well-drained soil. Lupins prefer neutral to alkaline soil and don't do well in clay or chalk.

Feeding not required
This is a low maintenance plant which gets all the nutrients it needs from the soil.

Prune lightly
Remove spent flowers to encourage new growth - leaving too many seeds may drain energy from the plant.
