Excellent pest and disease resistance
The one issue to be aware of with Phlox is mildews - to avoid this
Water regularly in summer
A deep watering once or twice a week during dry spells (about 2cm of water) is better for Phlox than little and often - they don't do well in waterlogged soil. Water at the base of the plant.
Full sun to partial shade
Phlox prefers full sun (6-8 hours of sunlight per day) but will do well with a little light shade.

Prune lightly
Deadhead the plant regularly to remove old spent flowers. Cut back to near the base of the plant in late autumn when the flowers have finished.
