- Sporting a profusion of scented, daisy-white flowers in the springtime (between March and April), Clematis armandii is a climbing plant no garden should be without.
- Boasting a fragrance with delicate notes of vanilla, almond and honey, plant your clematis near a seating area to get the maximum effect.
- With an eventual height of 5m, this plant is perfect for covering larger vertical structures like walls and trellises, though our favourite thing is to have it draped over an archway!
- An evergreen climber hardy to -10ºC, Clematis armandii appreciates a sheltered position, with a layer of mulch proving beneficial in colder, more exposed locations.
- Falling into clematis pruning group 1, you'll be glad to hear that this plant requires no regular pruning (save for any trimming done to maintain size).Â
- Please note: Our climbers are pruned back each winter, and some during the summer, so you may find at certain times of year they do not cover the whole 90cm cane. This is intentional to ensure the best growth when you plant out.
