Care Guide

Excellent pest and disease resistance

One of the few plants which is pest free - pests simply don't like them! Astilbe can be prone to powdery mildew, but this can be prevented by spacing the plants out adequately to allow for good air circulation

Water regularly

Astilbe will not tolerate dry soil - water regularly and keep particularly well watered after planting, until your Astilbe is established./span>

Partial shade

Astilbe thrive in areas of dappled or partial shade./span>

Any moisture retaining soil

Astilbe will tolerate any soil, but make sure it never dries out. Add plenty of well rotted manure or compost when planting, for added nutrients.

Feeding not required

No need to feed - this plant gets all the nutrients it needs from the soil. https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0513/3428/3424/files/pruning_3x_4d3eaf73-f629-45e0-87a5-6f14f5f005fc.png?v=1613300718
