Description
- As far as we're concerned, camellias should star in any garden that's suitable. 'Brushfield's Yellow' is a truly brilliant variety, boasting creamy flowers suffusing to buttery yellow hues at their centre.
- An easy-growing evergreen, this camellia adds interest through the autumn and winter months, with the foliage providing a perfect backdrop against which the bright blooms can really shine.
- Camellia flowers come in many forms, including peony, rose and formal double. This variety produces abundant, anemone-esque flowers which add an elegant woodland feel wherever they're found.
- Typically flowering from April to May, this variety can be grown in beds and borders, as well as large pots. It will do best in a partially-shaded spot.
- Like blueberries, azaleas and rhododendrons, camellias are ericaceous, and should therefore be planted in neutral to acidic soil.

How To Grow

Water well when establishing
Keep your camellia well-watered throughout the first couple of growing seasons to help it establish, and during hot, dry spells.
Partial shade
Best growth will occur in dappled shade, sheltered from early morning sun.
Acidic or neutral, moist, well-drained soil
Camellias are ericaceous plants, and so prefer a fertile, well-drained soil that skews on the acidic side.
Feed in spring
An application of ericaceous fertiliser in early spring will help give your camellia a boost throughout the growing season.

How do I know I'm getting quality plants?

When will I get my plants?
The delivery timescale for each plant is on the web page (near the 'add to basket's button). You'll receive a dispatch email with an exact delivery date once your plants are on their way, so you can get the garden ready.
How will my plants be packed and delivered?
We send all of our orders through a courier network designed to handle plants. Specialist equipment ensures that no plants will be damaged during the packing process and every order is carefully finished and checked by plant-loving humans. Your plants will arrive in the most sustainable packaging possible with minimal to no plastic used.
Where do you deliver?
We deliver to anywhere in Mainland UK for our standard delivery cost. We are able to deliver most plants to Highlands and non UK mainland however this will be at an additional cost. This will be calculated at the checkout. Please note, deliveries to these locations will take longer. Unfortunately, we are not able to deliver to Northern Ireland at present.
