Lebanese Cedar Tree

- This majestic, slow-growing evergreen is a large conifer which is often multi stemmed and produces attractive rosettes of dark green needles that stay on the tree for 3-6 years
- An extremely cold hardy, low maintenance tree which makes a stately addition to larger gardens and provides year-round interest
- Pollen bearing yellow cones appear in summer and stay on the tree throughout autumn, attracting bees to your garden. The seed cones are purple-green when young and mature to red-brown over two years
- Grows to 12-18m tall and wide
- The national symbol of Lebanon, this tree features on the Labanese flag and coat of arms. King Solomon's temple is said to have been built from its wood 3000 years ago

While possible in a very large container (80cm+) initially, Lebanese Cedar Tree is a large, vigorous tree and is not suited to long-term pot cultivation. It should be planted in the ground after 1-3 years.
How big does it get?
The Lebanese Cedar Tree is a large conifer, typically reaching a height of 20 to 30 metres and a spread of 15 to 20 metres, although it can be maintained at a smaller size with regular pruning.
How much sunlight does this need?
Lebanese Cedar Tree prefers full sun to partial shade, requiring at least 4 to 6 hours of direct sunlight daily to thrive.
What kind of soil does this plant prefer?
Lebanese Cedar Tree prefers moist, well-drained soil, but is highly adaptable to a variety of garden soil types, withstanding temperatures down to -10°C. Provide a 5cm layer of mulch to protect the roots.
How much watering does this plant need?
Lebanese Cedar Tree requires regular watering, especially during its first few years of establishment. Provide approximately 10 to 20 litres of water per week, ensuring the soil remains moist but well-drained. During hot weather above 25°C, increase watering frequency to prevent the roots from drying out.
