Clematis montana 'Rubens'
- This early blooming clematis is absolutely covered in pale pink flowers every May and June, with a sweet vanilla fragrance
- Foliage emerges in a burgundy shade, then turns green-bronze as it matures
- Single flowers - highly beneficial to early pollinators
- A vigorous and hardy climber that's perfect for covering a wall, fence or arbour. It can also be used effectively as groundcover
- Low maintenance - this variety is especially resistant to clematis wilt and as a group 1 clematis, needs no pruning
- Please Note: Our climbers are pruned back each winter, and some during the summer, so you may find at certain times of year they do not cover the whole 90cm cane. This is intentional to ensure the best growth when you plant out
