- A medium sized evergreen shrub with an open, spreading habit
- Exotic, dark green palmate foliage (leaves up to 45cm!) with small clusters of creamy white flowers followed by small, black fruits
- Perfect for shady areas of the garden as a feature plant or a backdrop for colourful perennials
- Grows to 2.5-4m high and wide within 10-20 years
- Fully hardy perennial with good pest and disease resistance

Can have issues with Scale Insects, Mealybugs and Thrips.
Water regularly in summer
Water to keep the ground consistently moist. During very hot and dry periods it could require watering every day.
Partial to full shade
Too much direct sunlight can cause damage to the foliage so it is best to plant somewhere with at least partial shade throughout the day.
Any fertile, well-drained soil
Mix in plenty of organic matter such as garden compost into the soil before planting and top up every spring. If your soil is particularly clay-heavy and easily becomes waterlogged, add some perlite into the soil to improve drainage.
Feed in spring
In springtime feed with blood, fish and bone meal to giveyour plant a boost of nutrients. ?v=1613300718
