- When it comes to trees with fabulous foliage, the deep purple hues boasted by Japanese maple trees are practically unrivalled - and 'Tamukeyama'? Well, you can see for yourself just how striking it is!
- Its foliage starts out an evocative claret colour, before taking on greener shades in the summer, and finally finishing the year painted in fiery tones.
- The delicate, finely-cut leaves have jagged edges which, when viewed en masse, give the tree a highly-attractive, textured appearance.
- This tree is ideal for smaller gardens and large patio pots, thanks to its relatively compact nature.
- With its bold appearance, 'Tamukeyama' makes for an excellent feature tree. Underplant it with astilbes, hostas and ferns to create a truly magical tableau.

Yes, Japanese Maple Tree is exceptionally well-suited to pot cultivation. A 40-50cm pot is ideal. It can thrive in a pot long-term. Ensure good drainage and protect roots from freezing temperatures below -5°C.

Acer palmatum dissectum 'Tamukeyama' is a weeping variety, reaching a height of 1.5 to 2 metres and a spread of 2 to 3 metres, although it can be maintained at a smaller size with regular pruning.
