- 'Ueno Yama' is a wonderful variety, boasting deeply-lobed orange foliage in the spring, becoming greener in summer and then, finally, adopting golden and fiery red shades in autumn
- Perfect for smaller gardens, this tree will add incredible year-round interest, not only because of its spectrum of colours, but also the architectural texture added by the framework of bare branches in winter

How To Grow
Good pest and disease resistance
Though Japanese maples are typically healthy and robust, they can still be affected by the odd pest/disease from time to time, including aphids, caterpillars, scale insects and verticillium wilt.
Water well when establishing
Water your acer routinely throughout its first growing season to help it establish. Once established, additional watering will typically only be needed in hot, dry spells in spring and summer.
Full sun to partial shade
This acer will display best leaf colour when planted in partial shade, though it will still grow nicely in full sun.
Any moist, well-drained soil
Grow in soil with good drainage that still manages to retain some moisture. If your soil is on the slightly acidic side, even better!
Feed every February
Your Japanese maple will appreciate an application of general-purpose fertiliser in Februrary just to give it an extra boost.

How do I know I'm getting quality plants?

When will I get my plants?
The delivery timescale for each plant is on the web page (near the 'add to basket's button). You'll receive a dispatch email with an exact delivery date once your plants are on their way, so you can get the garden ready.
How will my plants be packed and delivered?
We send all of our orders through a courier network designed to handle plants. Specialist equipment ensures that no plants will be damaged during the packing process and every order is carefully finished and checked by plant-loving humans. Your plants will arrive in the most sustainable packaging possible with minimal to no plastic used.
Where do you deliver?
We deliver to anywhere in Mainland UK for our standard delivery cost. We are able to deliver most plants to Highlands and non UK mainland however this will be at an additional cost. This will be calculated at the checkout. Please note, deliveries to these locations will take longer. Unfortunately, we are not able to deliver to Northern Ireland at present.
