Lesser Bulrush
Typha angustifolia
- A more compact version of Typhus latifolia, this attractive native plant has dark chocolate brown seedheads and is popular with florists
- Tiny golden yellow flowers appear from July to September
- Thrives in shallow water up to 30cm deep, making it perfect for ponds, lakes, bog gardens and even containers
- A vigorous aquatic perennial providing the ideal habitat for birds, amphibians and insects
- Very vigorous - excellent for use as a natural screen
