'Malling Supreme' Misted Tip Strawberry (Everbearer) Plants
- Introduced only recently, 'Malling Supreme' is a fabulous, increasingly popular everbearing variety that produces its fruit from June (and sometimes even late May) through to late August or early September.
- This is a misted tip strawberry. What on earth does that mean? Well, it means it's been grown using a specialist 'misting' system which helps it establish more quickly and can yield up to twice as much fruit when compared with traditional bare root runners!
- Misted tip strawberries also often have a higher survival rate than bare root runners as, arriving potted, the roots are less disturbed and thus less transplant shock occurs. Â
- Boasting superb sweetness and a rich, juicy flavour, 'Malling Supreme' can be grown in open beds and borders, but does just as well in pots, planters and hanging baskets, where the fruits can be left to trail daintily over the sides.
- Enjoy your strawberries fresh with a side of sugar and cream, slice and add them to refreshing fruit salads, or whack 'em into a decadent Eton mess or pavlova alongside some raspberries and blueberries.
