Canadian Red Maple Tree
Acer rubrum 'Red Pointe'
- Redpointe is a beautifully shaped, broadly pyramidal tree with sensational red autumn foliage
- This medium sized tree will grow to 13 x 9m unless pruned to fit a smaller space, making it a lovely specimen tree for a lawn, street planting or border
- The foliage emerges bright green in spring, darkening to a glossy forest green before turning scarlet in autumn
- Redpointe is an easy going, hardy tree which likes a position in full sun or partial shade and thrives in any soil except for dry clay, which can affect the leaf colour
- Low maintenance and easy to grow - any pruning needed should be done between late autumn and midwinter

How much sunlight does this need?
Canadian Red Maple Tree prefers dappled shade.
What kind of soil does this plant prefer?
Canadian Red Maple Tree prefers moist, well-drained, slightly acidic soil to thrive. Ensure the soil does not freeze below -5°C for optimal root health, applying a 5cm layer of mulch in winter.
