- Forming a mound up to 45cm tall, the softly-felted, pale green leaves of Alchemilla 'Irish Silk' are famous for holding morning dew like shimmering pearls.
- From late spring, this alchemilla produces strong stems bearing abundant clusters of tiny, yellow-green flowers that bring a luminescent quality to garden borders.
- Thanks to its sturdy stems and frothy texture, it is highly-prized by florists as an excellent, long-lasting filler for cut flower arrangements.
- It's an incredibly versatile and low-maintenance perennial, thriving in both full sun and partial shade, while gently softening the hard edges of pathways.
- The genus is named after 'alchemy' because ancient alchemists believed the water droplets caught on its leaves held magical properties!
