Astilbe 'Happy Spirit'
- If you've got a damp or boggy garden, perhaps covered with light/dappled shade, you might have thought you'd be limited when it comes to flowering perennials. You'd be wrong!
- Astilbe 'Happy Spirit' works wonderfully in a partially shaded spot in moist ground, dazzling with its creamy-white, candyfloss-like flower panicles.
- The flowers are borne against a backdrop of lush, fern-like foliage, whose green hues contrast wonderfully with the painterly cream blooms.
- Attractive to pollinator insects like bees and butterflies, the spent flowers also hold up well over winter, offering visual interest even in the gloomiest part of the year.
