Sambucus 'Black Lace'
- With its filigree-like, near-black purple foliage, pastel pink, citrus-scented flowers and genuinely scrummy berries, this elderberry cultivar is a real bobby dazzler!
- Fully hardy, easy to grow and a great foil for plants with green foliage, ‘Black Lace’ deserves a place in any garden as far as we’re concerned.
- Growing to three metres or so in height, this bushy shrub can also be pruned much smaller, making it perfect for both screening and using as a standalone feature plant.
- If you can get to the plant’s berries before the birds do, then you can use them to produce a batch of delicious, homemade elderberry wine.
- A deserving recipient of the RHS Award of Garden Merit, ‘Black Lace’ is known to perform well in British gardens.
