- One of the very best Japanese wisteria varieties, 'Royal Purple' is long-lived, vigorous and fully hardy, making it an excellent choice for British gardens.
- Long, lilac-purple flower sprays bloom at the end of spring and the start of summer, instantly transforming the surface your wisteria is trained against.

- The stunning flower racemes are set against a lush, light green backdrop of pinnate compound leaves, which fall in winter and expose fantastically architectural woody stems. In other words, this is a climber that offers true year-round interest.
