- A spectacular climber with delicious tropical fruits, multitudes of superb, saucer-shaped flowers and lush evergreen foliage, the passion fruit plant is the definition of a superstar!
- Sporting purple, white and green flowers that reach up to seven centimetres across, few plants can even hope to compete with Passiflora edulis in terms of showiness.
- The fruits can range in colour from yellow to purple, and boast an exotic sweetness that makes them perfect for cocktails, baking and cooking.
- Train against an obelisk or trellis and grow in a sunny, sheltered courtyard or greenhouse, and watch as bees and butterflies flock to the flowers.
- Did you know? Native to Brazil, passion fruits were first introduced to Europe by the Spanish and Portuguese all the way back in the middle of the 16th century.
