Water regularly
Container-grown acers will require more regular watering than their ground-grown counterparts. Give your tree a regular watering, especially in hot, dry spells throughout the growing season.
Full sun to partial shade
For best leaf colour, plant your patio acer in partial shade (three to six hours of direct sunlight per day).
