Water regularly
Container-grown plants, including holly trees, require more watering than their ground-grown counterparts. This is particularly important during hot, dry spells.

Grows well in both full sun (at least six hours of sunlight per day) and part shade (three to six hours of sunlight per day).
Moist, well-drained compost
