- Variegated hollies are among our very favourite plants, and 'Golden King' is up there with the very best, sporting dark green leaves with tremendous golden margins.
- Alongside the wonderful evergreen foliage, this little patio tree (which only grows to 1.5m or so in height) also produces charming white flowers and vivid red berries.
- Sometimes, the variegation is so great that the entire leaf is painted in the lush golden chartreuse hues that gives this variety its name.
- A recipient of the RHS Award of Garden Merit, 'Golden King' has been shown to perform particularly well in British gardens.
