'Conference' Pear Tree
- By a distance the UK's favourite pear tree, and probably a contender for favourite fruit tree, too! Grow in any size of garden (or in a pot).
- The unmistakable 'Conference' has the softest, melting flesh when ripe, bursting with juice and aromatic flavour.
- A very reliable performer in the UK climate, you can be assured of large crops of lovely, rounded pears within just two years. Harvest between September to October.
- One of the best choices for shadier, colder spots, and even north-facing walls, we recommend 'Conference' for Scotland and Northern areas of the UK. It can be trained as a cordon, fan or espalier.
- Is it any surprise that it's been awarded the prestigious RHS Award of Garden Merit?
- Partially Self Fertile - Pollination Group 4.
- Quince A Rootstock: Max size H4m x W4m.
- Cordon Trained: Trained to be more compact growing only 2m tall and 1m wide.
- Dwarf Option: Very compact max size H1.5m x W1m, perfect for pots.
- Our trees are professionally pruned before dispatching.
- Our mature trees are grown in Air-Pots®, the only type of pot to completely eliminate root circling. A unique design stimulates air pruning for a mass of healthy fibrous roots, which results in a healthy tree that will establish quickly in your garden. With each Air-Pot® made to last up to 20 years, we reuse them on the nursery and wrap your mature tree in hessian for delivery - but if you’d rather keep your tree potted, simply add an Air-Pot® to your basket along with your tree.
