- Gracefully arching stems with rows of pendant heart-shaped flowers in vibrant pink with protruding white petals, hanging like lockets above soft green foliage
- Also known as Bleeding Hearts
- Blooms for four to six weeks in May and June
- A low maintenance, hardy perennial plant which grows up to 90cm high and is shade tolerant
- Dicentra is a woodland plant which thrives in partially shaded borders or under deciduous trees
