Care Guide
Good pest and disease resistance
Generally trouble free. Geraniums can have issues with Slugs and Powdery Mildew. To defend against bacterial infections, try to maintain good garden hygiene. Space the plants out adequately to allow for good air circulation. For Slugs and Snails, it is important to keep the area around the plant debris free and as dry as possible, especially at night as slugs and snails love damp conditions. You can use barriers such as egg shells or copper wire around the plant to prevent slugs and snails reaching the leaves.MORE
Water often
Water to keep the soil consistently moist. During hot, dry spells, this can require you to water the plant every day, especially if the plant is in a hanging basket or pot.
Partial shade/full sun
Geraniums prefer part-shade but can also cope in full sun as well.
Any average, well-drained soil
Geraniums do well in any average, well-drained soil. If you are unsure, you can create a mix of three part garden compost and one part topsoil.
Feed regularly
Feed every week during the growing period with a high-potash feed such as liquid-tomato feed. ?v=1613300718
