Hosta 'Gold Standard'
- Forming an attractive mound, the wide, puckered leaves of 'Gold Standard' are renowned for their luminous yellow centres and variable dark green margins.
- During the summer months, this hosta sends up elegant stems bearing delicate, trumpet-shaped, lilac flowers that hover gracefully above its brightly-coloured foliage.
- Reaching a mature spread of up to over one metre, it serves as an excellent, weed-suppressing ground cover, bringing a bright splash of light to darker, shaded areas of the garden.
- It's an incredibly resilient and versatile perennial that thrives in partial shade and moist, well-drained soils. This makes it an ideal choice for woodland borders, patio containers or underplanting mature shrubs.
