Care Guide

Good Pest and Disease Resistance
Aquilegia can have issues with aphids, leaf miners and downy mildew. To combat aphids you can pick away the bugs with your hands and also wash the infested areas down with soapy water. To prevent downy mildew you should try to prevent crowded and humid conditions. Properly space plants apart and get rid of any weeds. Water at the soil and try to prevent soil splashing from the soil onto the leaves.

Water Regularly
Water well to keep the ground consistently moist. During hot, dry periods, this could require watering every few days or possibly even every day.

Full Sun to Partial Shade
Plant somewhere where the plant will receive around 6 hours of direct sunlight every day.

Fertile, Well-Drained Soil
A good mix is three parts quality garden compost to one part top-soil. If your soil is particularly clay-heavy and easily becomes waterlogged, add some perlite into the soil to improve drainage.

Not Required
Don't worry, this isn't a hungry plant so your food bills won't be going up! https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0513/3428/3424/files/pruning_3x_4d3eaf73-f629-45e0-87a5-6f14f5f005fc.png
