- Echinops is impossible to ignore, with its globes of tiny blue flowers rising on tall silvery stems from toothed dark green leaves
- Flowers throughout July and August, providing a burst of late summer colour
- A low maintenance upright perennial which is fully hardy, disease resistant and needs no pruning
