Description
- A distinctive deciduous hedge with five-lobed leaves
- Red-green leaves in spring and summer, maturing to a golden yellow in autumn. In spring small greenish-yellow flowers appear to attract the bees, followed by winged 'helicopter' fruits in autumn
- A great choice for a wildlife friendly hedge when planted as a single species or mixed with other native hedging
- A fully hardy, fast growing shrub which will reach a height of up to 8m but can easily be maintained at 1-5m

Full sun to partial shade
Position where the hedge will receive at least 4-6 hours of sunlight every day during summer and spring. This variety can handle partial shade where it receives its light as dappled shade.
Any well drained, fertile soil
Will tolerate less than perfect conditions but prefers well drained, loamy soils. If your soil is heavy or sandy, mix in some perlite or fine horticultural grit when planting, to improve drainage.
