Generally a very healthy, trouble-free plant that doesn't experience many problems with pests or diseases.
Water when establishing
Water regularly during the first growing season to help establish a strong root system. Once established, this plant is highly drought-tolerant and requires watering only during prolonged dry spells.
Full sun
Grows best in a fully sunny spot (at least six hours of direct sunlight per day).
Any moderately fertile, well-drained soil
Requires excellent drainage and prefers poorer, moderately fertile soils over heavy, wet clay.
Little to no feeding required
These plants thrive in poorer soils; too much fertiliser can encourage weak, floppy growth and reduce flowering.
