Japanese Cheesewood
Pittosporum tobira
- With its attractive evergreen foliage in emerald shades, this pittosporum can really hold its own as one of your garden's plants when it comes to year-round interest.
- The flowers, which are borne in large umbels at the end of spring and start of summer, radiate a truly lovely scent, boasting discernable notes of orange and honey.
- Japanese cheesewood has been awarded the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit, a sign of its great performance in British gardens.
- Versatile and easy to grow, this shrub, which also goes by the name Australian laurel, will work brilliantly along other fragrant favourites, such as choisya.
