'Red Duke Of York' First Early Seed Potatoes
- An improvement on the Duke of York, this red skinned new potato has a yellow flesh and fine flavour. Introduced to the UK in 1942, it was a favourite of home gardeners during World War II and after
- First earlies are best planted in March and harvested from June to July. They grow rapidly, take up less space and are harvested when they are about the size of an egg
- Grow in open ground, traditional potato sacks or pots at least 45cm wide and deep (two plants per pot)
- RHS Award of Garden Merit winner
- Red skin pigment helps prevent potatoes turning green, even if they're close to the surface
- Premium, UK grown first grade seed potatoes sent to you at the best possible time for planting. Always use the highest grade of seed potatoes to ensure a plentiful crop with high pest and disease resistance
