- This bright, bold perennial is highly floriferous, producing blooms from the start of summer right the way through into autumn
- The double flowers feature a rich brown central cone surrounded by petals with striking dark brown patternation on the interior and bright yellow outer tips
- Plant in a patio pot, as part of a prairie planting scheme or in your borders for long-lasting pops of sunny colour

Your goal is to keep the soil around you plant sufficiently moist, so in dry spells (or if planted in freely draining soil) a good soak every now and then during the summer will be beneficial. In particularly hot weather, this might be several times per week.

This rudbeckia variety does best in full sun but will still grow nicely in part shade.

This variety will grow well in most average garden soil, provided that it's moisture retentive. Mulching or the addition of compost can help better retain moisture.
