- Free-flowering and easily maintained, this perennial boasts blooms with dark brown central cones surrounded by maroon and yellow petals. The flowers sit atop vertical stems which spring up from attractive green basal foliage
- With flowers right the way through to autumn, this is an excellent choice for those gardeners who simply refuse to let go of the summer vibes (we don't blame you...)

A generally trouble-free plant!
Water well in summer
During the summer, and particularly in hot, dry spells, water your rudbeckia well. In especially arid conditions, watering several times per week might be necessary (keep an eye on your plant for signs of distress - such as wilting leaves - to know if it needs more watering). If you're growing your rudbeckia in a pot, then it will need to be more regularly watered than those grown in the open ground.
Full sun to partial shade
This variety of rudbeckia does best in full sun (at least 6 hours per day) but will still grow well in partial shade.
Any moist, well-drained soil
This plant grows well in most soil types, preferring something a little heavier where possible. If your soil drains very quickly and is prone to drying out, then adding some compost or mulch can help it better retain moisture.
No feeding required
So long as your soil is at least a little fertile, an annual mulch of organic matter in the spring is all that's needed to keep your rudbeckia content.
