High Pest/Disease resistance

Water regularly when newly planted
Water regularly and generously for several weeks after planting or sowing, especially if you did it late in the season. After that, there is no need to worry about watering, except in long dry spells or drought
Full Sun or partial shade
Position in full sun (6h+) for the best autumn colour, but will tolerate partial shade
Well-drained slightly acidic sand or clay soil
Can grow in almost any soil from sandy to clay and from acidic to slightly alkaline
Prune Annually
Some pruning may be necessary to remove drooping lower branches
