Agapanthus 'Zambezi'
- Famous for its striking variegated foliage, 'Zambezi' features broad, creamy stripes along the length of its green, strappy leaves, providing architectural interest long before flowers appear.
- It produces large heads of blue flowers that boast a darker blue stripe down each petal's centre. Blooming reliably from July to September, these superb umbels create a magnificent display.
- Though it is hardy, 'Zambezi' makes an exceptional choice for a large patio container where it can be easily moved into a frost-free greenhouse during particularly severe winters.
- Boasting a sturdy, clump-forming and upright habit, it reaches a medium height of up to 90cm. This makes it a perfect, eye-catching focal point for a sunny, well-drained border.
- It's also a magnet for pollinators and excellent for cutting. The nectar-rich flowers draw bees and butterflies into the garden, while the sturdy stems make dramatic additions to floral arrangements.
