- A bushy evergreen perennial with sweetly aromatic grey-green leaves with cream margins and trumpet shaped lilac flowers in spring
- Fragrant, sweet and strong mint flavour - makes a fantastic tea brewed hot or cold. Add to fruit salads, melon, cocktails and home made lemonade
- Mint grows like crazy, so unless you want a garden full, plant it in pots
- Attractive, fast growing and low maintenance - pick fresh leaves whenever you need them. Picking regularly is also good for keeping the plants in shape
- Mint is a useful companion plant for tomatoes and cabbages as its strong scent repels pests and its flowers attract pollinators

Good pest and disease resistance
Can be affected by powdery mildew - to avoid this, space your plants well and water them at the base to avoid splashing the leaves
Water regularly during dry spells
Water well in dry spells - after an initial watering when planted, it shouldn't be needed in autumn and winter

Grows best in a position with at least 4-6 hours of direct sunlight
Any fertile, well-drained soil
Herb plants prefer well drained, loamy soils. If your soil is heavy or sandy, mix in some perlite or fine horticultural grit when planting, to improve drainage.
Feed regularly if grown in pots
Herbs grown in the ground will not require feeding. If growing in pots, apply a sprinkle of general purpose feed every six weeks during spring, summer and autumn (Do not feed in winter).
