Description
- If you’ve been wanting to grow a trained fruit tree, then this is the kit for you. Complete with a gripple wire kit (wire spool, tensioners and vine eyes), secateurs and ties, this tree training kit allows you to create a secure wire framework for your fence
- Against this frame, you can tie in your fruit tree to create the trained shape you want (be that an espalier, fan or oblique cordon).
- The trellis itself is made using the wire, tensioners and vine eyes, with any excess being snipped off using the secateurs. Finally, you’ll use the plastic ties to tie your tree into the wire framework. Bish. Bash. Bosh.
- Plus, you can also use your secateurs for your tree’s pruning, so no need to trek to the local garden centre to pick up a new pair. Result.
- You can also use your wire framework to support climbing plants like wisteria and grape vines.
