- Nurtured into healthy young plants at our South Downs nursery, your basil plant(s) will be delivered to you in peak condition for planting outside. Just make sure you wait until the last risk of frost has passed before you do so.
- Botanically speaking, basil is actually part of the mint (Lamiaceae) family, and though these days we associate it primarily with Italian cuisine, it, in fact, originates from parts of Southeast Asia and Central Africa.
