Winter Hedging
- Our Cornus hedge collection consists of 15 premium bare root hedging plants from three varieties chosen by our growers for their colour, performance and year-round appeal
- You will receive 15 x 45-60cm plants: 5 x Cornus alba, 5 x Cornus stolonifera flaviramea and 5 x Cornus sanguinea, enough for a 3m hedge with a mix of bronze, yellow and red stems
- Planting a Cornus hedge improves soil stability and air quality, providing a habitat for wildlife. They can be used as single species hedging or as part of a mixed hedge
- Cornus are hardy, easy care perennials providing interest throughout the year with creamy white flowers in spring, followed by pale blue berries. Their oval, dark-green leaves turn red in autumn and in winter their colourful stems light up the landscape
- Will reach a height of between 1-3m
- Plant in full sun to partial shade and any well drained soil type
