How To Grow

Excellent pest and disease resistance

Generally free of pests and diseases, but young plants may be vulnerable to slugs and snails. Keep the area around the plant debris free and as dry as possible, especially at night as slugs and snails love damp conditions. You can use barriers such as egg shells or copper wire to surround the plant to prevent slugs and snails reaching the leavesMORE

Keep well watered

Needs a permanently wet soil - do not allow soil to dry out.

Full sun to partial shade

Position where the plants will receive at least 4-6 hours of sunlight daily in spring/summer.

Rich medium to wet soil

Any permanently moist or waterlogged soil. Tolerates poor drainage.

Feeding not required

No need to feed - this plant gets all the nutrients it needs from the soil. ?v=1613300967

Nestled amongst wildlife meadows and resident ducks, Caroline’s award winning pond plant nursery in Enfield has been making a splash since 1965, when they invented the (recycled, obvs) aquatic basket. Sixty years and multiple RHS gold medals later, they’re still surprising us with new varieties every year!
